About Leanne
Do you often wonder if other people struggle with the challenges you are facing? Does it feel hard to acknowledge your success? As a former national-level and collegiate athlete, Leanne can relate. Together, you can work through whatever is on your heart or mind that may be holding you back or weighing you down, so you can feel lighter, happier, fulfilled, and focused.
Leanne approaches concerns in a way that considers the interplay of biological, psychological, and socio-environmental factors that create your unique circumstances and shape how you respond.
Sessions with Leanne are a supportive space for you to show up as you are and move towards the person you desire to be, with deeper connections to yourself and those around you. Her approach is collaborative and strength-based. Together, you will work to identify the unique strengths you have within you to grow and flourish.
Therapeutic Approach
Leanne takes a direct, whole-picture, non-judgmental approach. With Leanne, you can expect an intentional conversation about your life: past, present, and future. You set the stage each session; no topic is off the table. Together, you will identify your concerns, develop specific goals, and come up with a personalized plan to work towards them.
She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities including CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based approaches, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative therapy, coaching, and strength-based practices.
Who Leanne Works With
As a former competitive athlete and long-time NCCP certified coach, Leanne understands the mental challenges of training and competition. She works with athletes and individuals who want to apply an athlete's mindset to their everyday life, specializing in performance anxiety, health anxiety, and sports performance.
Leanne has used her learnings from working with athletes over the last 10 years to guide her clinical work. Beyond athletes, she also works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, burnout, career concerns, and life transitions. She also offers Team Mindset Sessions for minor sports teams.
